Job summary

Altius Group is seeking an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant to support workers returning to work after injuries. You will develop RTW plans, coordinate with employers and health practitioners, and deliver practical solutions that align with best practice and legal requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, flexible work arrangements including in-office, on-site, and remote options, and a focus on health outcomes and service delivery with integrity.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, RN, Chiropractor, Osteopath or Paramedic.
• Current registration or accreditation with a professional body (e.g., AHPRA, ASORC).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, clinical reasoning, and solution-focused thinking.
• Current unrestricted driver's license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored Recovery and Return to Work (RTW) programs in collaboration with worker, employers, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and insurers.
• Conduct workplace assessments to identify and address barriers to RTW, offering practical solutions to support recovery.
• Educate employers, RTW coordinators, and managers on best practice return to work, early intervention strategies, and workplace adjustments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including employers, workers, treating health practitioners, and insurers.
• Monitor worker progress, adjusting RTW plans as necessary based on recovery trajectories and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, organisational policies, and best practice.
• Maintain detailed documentation and notes of assessments, RTW plans, and progress reports for stakeholders.
