Job summary

Altius Group is recruiting an Rehabilitation Consultant (Occupational Therapist) to support recovery and rehabilitation for individuals following injury or disability. You will develop personalised plans and conduct comprehensive assessments to guide return-to-work processes and improve independence.

You will collaborate with clients, families, insurers and employers, presenting case information and delivering credible recommendations geared toward successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Full registration with AHPRA is mandatory.
• Full Australian working rights are required.
• Current driver’s license and access to a car are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
• Complete assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Identify potential return-to-work pathways in line with recovery milestones.
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience and knowledge of injury management to facilitate return to work of claimants.
• Work closely with clients, families, insurers, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations to drive the desired goal.
