Job summary

Abundance HR is seeking a Nyangbul Land and Sea Manager (Aboriginal Identified Position) to lead a culturally driven land and sea program with a focus on mentoring Rangers and developing community leadership. You will guide field activities, budgets and reporting while strengthening ties with Elders and Traditional Owners.

You will foster capability, plan field work, coordinate projects and partnerships, and ensure safety in all field activities while delivering Caring for Country and

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring staff, Rangers or community teams.
• Experience in land management, natural resource management, conservation, Ranger programs or related areas.
• Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, community and connection to Country.
• Ability to mentor Rangers with different levels of experience and capability.
• Excellent planning, coordination and organisational skills.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with Elders, Traditional Owners and external stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating projects, budgets, funding deliverables and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Nyangbul Land and Sea program and Ranger team.
• Supervise, support and mentor Rangers through strong, culturally appropriate leadership.
• Build Ranger capability through on-the-job mentoring, training and development.
• Plan and coordinate Ranger projects, field activities, work schedules and priorities.
• Support the delivery of Caring for Country, cultural and environmental activities.
• Work closely with Elders, Traditional Owners, members and the Aboriginal community.
