Job summary

The Northern Land Council is seeking a practical land management professional to support Caring for Country ranger operations in the Victoria River District. You will provide guidance, coordinate logistics and resources, and help teams deliver projects aligned with Healthy Country Planning priorities.

This role involves mentoring rangers, managing assets, and maintaining program budgets and reports, with travel to remote locations and a strong emphasis on culturally safe work with Aboriginal

Qualifications

Qualification in natural resource management or related field.
At least three years of land management or supporting role experience.
Experience managing assets and budgets within regional programs.
Sound cross-cultural communication and understanding of regional norms.

Responsibilities

Support cultural heritage, land and water management projects.
Mentor rangers and coordinate training and development plans.
Resolve day-to-day operational and logistics challenges.
Manage assets, procurement and regional program budgets.
Maintain Miradi planning information and prepare program reports.
