Job summary

Achieve Australia is seeking an Assistant in Nursing in Summer Hill, NSW, to provide person-centred support to clients with disability. You will help clients reach goals and support daily living in a group home setting, promoting independence and meaningful activity.

Key duties include personal care, transport assistance, documentation, and collaboration with the team. Relevant qualifications and a NSW driver’s licence are preferred; a criminal history check and NDIS checks are part of the

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III in Disability or Individual Support.
• Strong interpersonal, role modelling, and customer service skills.
• Problem-solving abilities with an ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Understanding of NDIS and Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety.
• Awareness of human rights and challenges facing individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to transport clients in Achieve Australia vehicles and NSW driver’s licence required.
• Experience in working with adults and/or children with complex disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred quality support to people with a disability.
• Support clients to set and reach goals and participate in life choices.
• Work in a group home setting to build independence and relationships.
• Provide personal/physical care including grooming, toileting, meal prep and assistance.
• Assist with accessing community, transport, and recreational services.
• Complete client documentation and maintain records.
