Job summary

North West Private Hospital – Everton Park QLD requires a highly motivated Registered Nurse for a permanent part‑time Nurse Unit Manager role within the Theatre team. You will mentor and lead a team, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care and optimal outcomes, while aligning with Ramsay Health Care standards and best practice.

You will report to the Director of Clinical Services and drive workforce management, rostering and resource use in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Theatre nursing experience of 5+ years is highly desirable for this leadership role.
• Senior nurse or managerial experience is advantageous.

An exciting permanent part-timeopportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse. As theNurse Unit Manager, you will be taking on a key leadership role within ourTheatreteam.

You’ll be working closely with the clinical team to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources. This will be with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice. Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services, you will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Be accountable for the clinical, operational and professional leadership of the unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes
• Plan, implement and evaluate practices, processes and services in line with Ramsay Health Care standards, legislative requirements and best practice

About You

The successful NUM thrives in a complex and demanding environment and is able to work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues. They strive for continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives, workforce management and effective resource utilisation to achieve excellence in care delivery.

You will also bring the following:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of5 years’ Theatrenursingexperience
• Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager (highly desirable)
• Flexibility to work within a dynamic team across the organisation
• Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
• Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
• Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of$71.94-$77.84+ superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*QLD NUM 1-4*)
