Job summary

North West Private Hospital Everton Park is seeking experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our casual Nursing Pool. You will provide safe, person-centred care across medical and surgical areas and support the wider multidisciplinary team.

Experience in DSU, OT or Maternity/Gynaecology is advantageous, and you will thrive in a one-team environment with a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RN with AHPRA.
• Experience across medical and surgical nursing.
• DSU/OT or Maternity/Gynaecology experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in line with standards and policies.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, escalate deterioration appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments within scope.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and handovers.
• Follow infection prevention and promote a safe environment.

North West Private Hospital – Everton Park QLD

North West Private Hospital is seeking experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our Nursing Pool on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with diverse experience across medical and surgical nursing who enjoy working across different clinical areas and adapting to changing patient needs. You will work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.

Experience in the Day Surgery Unit (DSU), Operating Theatre (OT), and Maternity/Gynaecology would be an advantage.

About You

You are a confident and compassionate Registered Nurse with a broad clinical background and the ability to adapt to different ward environments. You bring a positive attitude, a flexible approach and a strong commitment to teamwork. You embrace a one-team mindset and work collaboratively to support your colleagues and achieve positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, recognise clinical deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely within your scope of practice.
• Collaborate with medical practitioners and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide effective handovers.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and promote a safe clinical environment.
• Adapt to the needs of different clinical areas while maintaining high standards of patient care.

What You Will Also Bring

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience across medical and surgical nursing.
• Experience in DSU, Operating Theatre or Maternity/Gynaecology will be highly regarded.
