Job summary

Calvary Riverina is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Day Procedure Unit within the Perioperative Services team. This full-time role, with possible part-time arrangements for the right candidate, involves collaboration with the Main Theatre team and Deputy Director of Clinical Services- Perioperative Services to drive patient-centred outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead staffing, scheduling, and payroll while upholding national perioperative standards and infection control

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Leadership experience in perioperative or surgical services.
• Experience in KPI tracking and staff rostering.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control and national perioperative standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Day Procedure Unit with a focus on patient-centred care.
• Collaborate with hospital teams and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
• Monitor and manage KPIs for the unit.
• Support staffing, rostering and payroll processes.
• Ensure high quality, safe care across perioperative services.

About the role

Calvary Riverina is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join our Perioperative Services team.

This leadership opportunity is based in our Surgicentre (Day Procedure Unit) and will work closely and collaboratively with the Main Theatre team at the hospital and Deputy Director of Clinical Services- Perioperative Services to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

The position is offered on a full-time basis; however, part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about service excellence, VMO engagement, team development, and driving positive patient outcomes within a dynamic perioperative environment.

Your main duties will include:

Effective and efficient leadership and management of a Day Procedure Unit

• Collaborating and engaging with employees and stakeholders
• Managing associated KPI's
• Supporting staffing, rostering and payroll
• Ensuring a high quality and safe care is achieved

About you

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Proven experience in people leadership and team management.
• Sound understanding of nurse management KPIs and operational performance measures.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage a broad range of stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering positive working relationships.
