Imaging @ Olympic Park in Melbourne is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The role provides clinical and operational leadership within the Day Procedure Centre, supporting the Director of Nursing to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience in radiology, day procedure, perioperative or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Overtime flexibility as rostered and required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and coordinate patient flow across pre-admission, admission, procedure, recovery and discharge areas.
• Support the Director of Nursing with workforce coordination, staff allocation, mentoring and clinical support.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement in NSQHS standards and governance.
• Assist with incident management, risk identification, quality activities and accreditation compliance.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, technical and administrative teams to ensure efficient service delivery and patient experience.
• Act as the designated clinical leader in the absence of the Director of Nursing, with out-of-hours availability as rostered.
