Job summary

Healthscope's Sydney Southwest Private Hospital in Liverpool, NSW seeks an experienced Nurse Unit Manager for the Mental Health Unit (South West Clinic). The role is full-time and involves leading the ward, ensuring fiscal and clinical effectiveness, and supporting the Director of Nursing.

You will lead a dynamic team, provide direct patient care as needed, and drive quality improvement, workforce planning, and stakeholder collaboration within a private hospital network.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and relevant checks are required.
• Experience at NUM level or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical governance abilities.
• Proven ability to manage resources in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the ward/unit in line with hospital strategy.
• Coordinate delivery of evidence-based nursing care and manage resources.
• Support the Director of Nursing and supervise nursing staff on the unit.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and customer service.
