Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney seeks an experienced Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 for our 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU. You will provide clinical and operational leadership, building a collaborative, high‑performing nursing team and delivering safe, patient‑centred care.

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 to support and lead our Intensive Care Unit at Northern Beaches Hospital. Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 Remuneration: $2,759.70 per week Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ699879 This is an opportunity to support and lead a highly skilled nursing team caring for some of our most critically unwell patients within a modern, purpose-built hospital. Our ICU provides general and cardiothoracic intensive care within a hospital offering emergency, surgical, cardiac, interventional, oncology, renal and specialist services.

As NUM Level 1, you’ll provide strong clinical and operational leadership to the ICU, creating an environment where the team feels supported to deliver exceptional, safe and compassionate care.

• Lead, support and develop the ICU nursing team

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
• Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
