Garden Village in Port Macquarie is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to oversee day-to-day patient care, lead a team of RNs, ENs and Care Workers, and liaise with families to ensure compassionate, person-centered service.

You will manage staff development, uphold Resident Rights and Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and drive continuous improvement in a not-for-profit setting.

This role offers in-house CPD, salary packaging and dedicated clinical education to support your leadership in aged care.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 5 years aged care experience.
• Experience in a senior clinical role.
• Experience managing a unit/ward/facility with staff, relationships and incident/complaints management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families and staff.
• Strong understanding of Resident Rights and Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates will require:

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least 5 years aged care experience
• Previous demonstrated success both as a Registered Nurse and within a senior clinical role.
• Experience in managing a unit/ward/facility with regards to staff, relationship, and incident and complaints management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - with residents, families and staff
