Job summary

The University of Tasmania is seeking an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in nursing education to join the School of Nursing as a Senior Lecturer.

This ongoing position is offered at 0.4 FTE with flexible remote work from anywhere in Australia, or on campus (Burnie, Hobart, Launceston or Sydney). You will lead the development and delivery of innovative Nurse Practitioner education and support endorsement pathways for students across Australia.

Qualifications

• Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with NMBA.
• Experience in Nurse Practitioner education and curriculum development.
• Strong scholarly activity and research in nursing.
• Experience teaching in higher education.
• Proven ability to build partnerships across healthcare, education and professional sectors.
• Current clinical expertise in advanced nursing practice.
• PhD preferred; Master's with significant expertise considered.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to University's strategic objectives and academic mission.
• Lead development and delivery of Nurse Practitioner curriculum at Master's level.
• Support students pursuing endorsement pathways.
• Deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Build partnerships with healthcare providers and organisations across Australia.
• Undertake and contribute to high-quality research and knowledge translation activities.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive academic culture focused on excellence in learning, teaching and research.
