Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking an experienced nursing leader to coordinate patient access, bed management and workforce resources across Mount Isa Hospital and the North West Health Service. You will report to the Assistant Director of Nursing and lead after-hours operations to deliver safe, efficient patient care.

This role requires a relevant tertiary degree, appropriate registration/licences and a C Class licence.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: relevant tertiary degree qualification.
• Registration/licences as applicable.
• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening will be conducted.
• Vaccination or immunity evidence may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior nursing and operational leadership for safe patient flow, bed capacity and workforce resources across Mount Isa Hospital and the North West service.
• Lead after-hours operations and support high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Coordinate patient access, bed management, workforce allocation and hospital operations 24/7.
• Influence service delivery and drive operational excellence across a remote health service.
