Job summary

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking an experienced registered nurse to become Nurse Educator for the Medical Division at Lyell McEwin Health Service. This full-time, fixed-term contract runs through to 25 June 2027 and offers the opportunity to shape clinical practice across a busy metropolitan health service.

You will design, deliver and evaluate education programs, support orientation and competency assessments, and partner with unit managers to translate learning

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Substantial clinical experience within medical or acute inpatient setting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate adult learning programs in a health context.
• Strong communication skills across diverse clinical teams.
• Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks, clinical governance and accreditation standards.
• Postgraduate qualification in nursing education or clinical nursing (or progress towards one) highly regarded.
• Clinical experience in respiratory and cardiac nursing highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate education programs that build nursing capability across the Medical Division at Lyell McEwin Health Service.
• Support clinical staff through orientation, competency assessment and ongoing professional development activities.
• Partner with unit managers and senior clinicians to identify learning needs and translate them into practical, evidence-based education.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help embed best-practice standards into everyday clinical care.
