Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Neonatal Unit. The role focuses on building clinical knowledge, confidence, and ensuring nurses and midwives provide exceptional neonatal care.

Reporting to the Neonatal Unit Manager, you will educate the team, oversee learning experiences, and support high-quality, person-centred care in a fast-paced unit. Applicants must be registered nurses with neonatal experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with neonatal competency and current practicing certificate.
• Post-registration experience in neonatal nursing preferable; able to teach and mentor staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision and manage timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and training to Neonatal Special Care Unit and HDU teams.
• Lead clinical teaching and oversee learning experiences for staff.
• Support staff to ensure high quality, person-centred nursing/midwifery care.
• Assist and supports the TPPP Coordinator in management and education activities.
• Monitor patient care plans and contribute to care outcomes daily.
