South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) invites applications for a Nurse Educator Grade 3 within the SESLHD Drug & Alcohol Service at The Langton Centre, Surry Hills. The role leads education, training and professional development for staff across outpatient and inpatient D&A services.

Responsibilities include implementing the Workforce Development Package for AOD NSW Health Clinical Care Standards, coordinating education programs and contributing to GradStart rotations for

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and post-registration nursing/education qualifications.
• Experience in development of practice is desirable.
• Demonstrated effective leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education programs.
• Understanding of contemporary adult learning principles.
• Computer literacy and understanding of information systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Workforce Development Package for the AOD NSW Health Clinical Care Standards for AOD Treatment.
• Coordinate and evaluate the education and training program including in-service schedules, orientation, clinical skills and competencies.
• Establish involvement in GradStart by coordinating rotational placements for graduate nurses.
