Job summary

NSW Health's Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Nurse Educator Grade 1 to lead education and professional development across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, shaping learning programs that strengthen clinical practice. You will support nurses and educators to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care and contribute to education across diverse clinical settings.

This temporary full-time role is 38 hours a week, with remuneration of $70.40–$72.41 per hour, located at Blacktown

Qualifications

• Postgraduate clinical and/or educational qualification relevant to Nursing Education
• Demonstrated recent experience in nursing/midwifery practice and education
• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain educational programs and/or portfolios with outcome based measures
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner whilst working effectively in a team environment
• Proven ability to effectively manage projects in a timely manner
• Current valid Driver's licence including P1 or above

• Identify learning gaps and develop education programs aligned with service priorities
• Provide guidance, support and clinical supervision to nursing staff and educators
• Develop initiatives that promote effective communication and collaborative practice

What you'll be doing

As a Nurse Educator Grade 1, you will use your clinical expertise, education skills and knowledge of contemporary practice to build workforce capability and support positive change.
