Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring a Care Ambassador in Australia to drive Happier Ageing experiences for clients and caregivers. You will support daily operations, review care plans, and ensure the delivery of premium in-home care.

The role emphasizes compassionate conversations, autonomy, and a client-first mindset within a locally owned team. Flexible availability (part-time, full-time, or casual) with some on-call evenings and weekends may be required, and you will collaborate with Nurses,

• AHPRA registration required for nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure first visit reflects Nurse Next Door brand and premium care.
• Review client schedules and care notes with caregiver.
• Audit and update care plans, flowsheets and MARs as needed.
• Foster Happier Ageing by keeping clients connected to hobbies and interests.
• Support with client visits during caregiver cancellations or urgent care.

Job Summary

As a Care Ambassador you are responsible for initiating Happier Ageing experiences for Clients and Caregivers. As well as supporting the daily operations of the business. In every Client care situation, you seek innovative solutions. You are able to support with delegated care management from the first visit to the end of service. You will drive results through the following main duties and responsibilities:

Client First Visits

• Ensures that the First Visit introduction to the client and caregiver represents the Nurse Next Door brand, culture and premium care experience


• Assists in reviewing Clients schedule to clarify any questions


• Reviews Client Care notes in Alayacare with the caregiver, including the care plan and documentation

Continuity of Client Care

• Facilitates Happier Ageing by helping clients stay connected to their hobbies and interests


• Audits Client Care plan, replenishing progress notes, updates care plan, flowsheets, MARs, signature logs, etc


• Review documentation and follows up with any care related concerns


• Identifies changes in level of care and communicates recommendations with Care Designer in a time sensitive manner (ex. Has the Client care changed? Does the Client require more care?)


• Accurately follows instructions according to nursing delegations


• Actions client needs with a sense of urgency


• Reviews Client experience through NPS, achieves goal of 10, to ensure premium care is provided


• Creates a positive Caregiver experience — Caregivers are set up for success in their role, they have client information and necessary training to provide premium care


• Oversees staff performance - ensures caregiver is the perfect match for every client assignment


• Delegates care and provides training and support as needed


• Fosters a spirit of Happier Ageing amongst Caregivers to ensure a premium employee experience


• Reviews Caregiver experience through NPS, achieves goal of 10, to ensure premium employee experience is achieved


• Supports with client visits as needed, according to caregiver cancellations and urgent care

Administration

• Reviews client and staff records to ensure for accuracy and completeness


• Directs the maintenance of client & personnel records to meet employee, organisation and statutory requirements and entitlements

Availability

• Flexibility is required


• Part time/Full time/Casual for the right applicant


• Some on-call evenings and weekends may be required

Business Relationships

• Reports to the Care Designer (Registered Nurse)


• Works closely in partnership with the Caregivers, Nurses and Managing Directors

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• AHPRA registration - EN, EEN or RN


• Nursing background is required


• CPR and First Aid Certification


• National Police Check (Aged care specific)


• Working with Childrens Check


• Disability Workers Exclusion Team Check (to be completed by Nurse Next Door)


• Car and valid driver’s license
