Job summary
AECOM's Adelaide Building Engineering team is seeking a Ventilation Engineer with Nuclear experience to lead design and safety-critical ventilation systems on major infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle.
The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, extensive HVAC/ventilation expertise, and familiarity with safety-regulated environments.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with proven ventilation/HVAC experience on major infra projects.
- Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments and understanding of safety culture.
- Knowledge of safety-significant and safety-classified systems, hazard analysis and ALARP principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering of nuclear and safety-significant ventilation systems including HVAC, air handling units, filtration and ductwork.
- Develop technical specifications, calculations and design documents across concept to detailed design phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ventilation into facility design and manage technical deliverables.
