Job summary

AECOM's Adelaide Building Engineering team seeks a Senior EC&I Engineer with nuclear experience to lead electrical, controls and instrumentation design for complex defence and infrastructure projects. You will deliver coordinated EC&I solutions, guidance to engineers and ensure safety-critical compliance.

In this role, you will work with PMs and architects across disciplines, support testing and validation, and engage with clients to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Experience delivering electrical, control and instrumentation systems on major infrastructure, industrial, defence or energy projects.
• Nuclear experience, particularly defence, would be highly regarded.
• Familiar with Australian and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of EC&I systems to meet project requirements and standards.
• Prepare and review technical docs, drawings and calculations with other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers and develop team capability.
• Conduct engineering studies, option analyses, hazard and risk assessments to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to safety-related deliverables for safety-significant systems.
• Collaborate with PMs, Design Managers, architects and other disciplines to integrate EC&I solutions.
• Support testing, commissioning and validation activities.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to resolve engineering and project issues.
