ASC Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Engineering Manager – Nuclear to coordinate and deliver nuclear engineering across SSN sustainment. You will mentor engineers, oversee shipboard nuclear maintenance activities, and help develop a world‑class engineering function for the future.

You will work with Australian and US counterparts, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards while advancing professional growth opportunities within a major defence program.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supporting complex sustainment or operational programs.
• Demonstrated use of project management techniques on an engineering project.
• Understanding of engineering governance, assurance and quality systems.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities or multi-discipline teams.
• Strong communication with engineering, program and business stakeholders.
• Submarine maintenance experience is highly regarded, esp. SSN programs.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Nuclear Engineering and leadership in delivering the Nuclear Engineering Department.
• Provide expert engineering advice for submarine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory, quality and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with Government, Defence and other stakeholders to support maintenance outcomes.
• Plan and deliver nuclear engineering activities for Submarine Maintenance Periods within SRF-W.
• Lead and develop nuclear engineering personnel, driving capability uplift.
