Job summary

Concentis is seeking a Project Engineer to join a major mining project in Townsville, Australia. You will oversee civil and structural works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safe, quality delivery of non-process infrastructure and underground services.

You will operate on a 2:1 site roster, liaising with senior engineers and project leadership to keep progress on track and issues resolved promptly. The assignment runs through to Sep/Dec 2027 with potential extension.

You will join a major mining project as a Project Engineer, supporting the delivery of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and underground services. Working within an established project team, you will oversee civil and structural engineering works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Your scope will include maintenance facilities, wash pads, pumping systems, piping, fuel facilities, tanks and pumps, including subcontracted refuelling infrastructure. You will take ownership of quality assurance, monitor subcontractor performance, resolve site issues and make sound engineering decisions to keep work progressing.

Based on site on a 2:1 roster, you will work closely with senior engineering personnel, supervisors and the project superintendent. This is a subcontractor-side professional services role suited to someone who understands the demands of a mining environment, communicates effectively and works collaboratively to achieve project outcomes. The current project duration is expected to extend through to September/December 2027 with the final end date to be confirmed.
