Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods is seeking a New Product Development Technologist to lead the end-to-end NPD lifecycle from concept to commercialisation at the Bells Creek facility. You will drive innovative meat protein products through planed trials, ingredient sourcing, benchtop work and sensory evaluation.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Food Sciences (or similar), 1–2 years of R&D experience in food, HACCP/FSANZ knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Food Sciences (or similar)
Demonstrated meat protein experience (raw and cooked) in a similar role
Excellent judgement, drive, initiative and sense of urgency
1–2 years of R&D experience in the food industry
Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ, food safety principles
Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and organisational skills
Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder management
Commercial and technical awareness of ingredients, process and customer requirements

Responsibilities

Manage all tasks from concept to commercialisation for new product development
Plan, manage and assist in factory trials involving new product, equipment and process
Research, understand and source required ingredients
Plan, formulate and conduct benchtop trials
Design and conduct product evaluation and sensory analysis
