Job summary

Priestley’s Gourmet Delights seeks a curious and hands-on NPD Food Technologist to join our Marketing & Innovation team in Brisbane. You’ll learn to translate ideas into scalable products and work across Production, Quality, Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.

You’ll contribute to bench trials, recipe development, and factory tests while gaining exposure to the full product development journey and Stage Gate process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field is required.
• Interest in new product development and food manufacturing.
• Confidence with recipes, ingredients and product trials.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork across departments.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions; problem solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of new products from concept through to commercialisation.
• Perform bench trials, create recipes and product samples.
• Support factory trials and assist in scaling from benchtop to production.
• Research and trial new ingredients, concepts and trends.
• Evaluate recipes for quality, cost and production feasibility.
• Maintain accurate trial, recipe and traceability documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain.
• Learn the Stage Gate NPD process and contribute ideas.
