Job summary

OFX is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee the North America region from Sydney for a 4-month parental leave contract. You will manage all controllership, accounting and compliance activities for US and Canada, ensuring timely closes and robust internal controls.

You will report to the Deputy Group Financial Controller and partner with global finance, tax advisors and auditors to maintain high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in accounting or controllership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with emphasis on revenue recognition and NA regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing cross-border or regional finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end financial close across North American entities with IFRS/US GAAP alignment.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and financial statements.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for NA entities.
• Act as business partner to Regional Finance and Compliance teams for regulatory requests.
• Collaborate with global finance to ensure cohesive end-to-end processes and policies.
• Coordinate and manage local statutory audits and support global audit requirements in NA.
• Prepare audit schedules and disclosures; collaborate with external auditors.
• Oversee corporate tax, sales/use tax, property tax and other indirect taxes in NA.
