Merv Newby Smash Repairs in Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic Panel Beater / Automotive Fitter to join our team as an entry-level position. No extensive experience required as hands-on training will be provided.

You will work with experienced tradespeople, learn repair techniques, and develop skills in vehicle disassembly, panel preparation, and basic assembly. We offer a supportive culture, on-the-job mentoring, and clear pathways for career progression.

Qualifications

• No extensive industry experience required; great entry point to start or develop a career in automotive collision repair.
• School leavers, apprentices, and automotive graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced Panel Beaters and tradespeople with vehicle repairs.
• Removing and refitting vehicle components.
• Assisting with vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
• Preparing damaged panels and components for repair.
• Learning and developing panel beating and vehicle repair techniques.
• Using workshop tools and equipment safely.
• Following manufacturer and workplace repair procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Working as part of a supportive and professional team.
• Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, organised, and safe.
