Paddington Prestige Smash Repairs in Banksmeadow NSW is seeking a full-time Panel Beater to restore vehicles to their original condition by repairing metal, plastic, aluminium and fibreglass bodywork.

You will assess damage, determine repair methods, and use specialised tools to perform high-quality repairs, welding, cutting and alignment checks. This role offers a competitive salary range and a professional customer-service environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or substantial related experience.
• Knowledge of safe procedures in the motor vehicle industry.
• Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety issues in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Assess damage and determine repair procedures.
• Operate and maintain tools and report faults.
• Provide customer service related to repairs.
• Test and replace batteries and perform servicing.
• Perform welding, thermal cutting, and heating for body repairs.
• Clean and prepare components for repair/storage.
• Repair body panels using beating, heat shrinking, filler techniques.
• Conduct minor structural repairs including reforming and welding.
• Replace major welded panels when needed.
• Correct misalignment of structures and verify with measurement.
• Use equipment to measure body alignment.
• Remove/replace body panels and fittings for repairs/painting.
• Carry out decal/transfer and protector moulding work.
• Remove/replace units such as headlights and suspension to facilitate repair.
