Job summary

Hygain Feeds is seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Leader to drive safety, quality and performance across our manufacturing floor.

You will coach and develop a high‑performing team, partner with maintenance to minimise downtime and champion WHS practices while ensuring GMP/QA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment (FMCG or similar high-speed) with accountability for people, safety and performance outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead from the front and develop your team.
• Strong knowledge of WHS, quality systems and continuous improvement.
• Experience coordinating labour, equipment and production schedules.
• Resilience, adaptability and the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the night shift production team to achieve operational KPIs across safety, quality, performance, yield, waste and engagement
• Coach, develop and empower your team to build capability and create a high performing team
• Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise downtime and resolve production issues
• Lead and champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, QA and site standards
• Conduct toolbox meetings and shift handovers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor that support future business growth
• Analyse operational performance and provide reports and recommendations to management for process improvements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
