Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking a Harvest Manager to lead the Kill Floor on night shift at the Dinmore plant near Ipswich, Queensland. You will drive safety, quality and production targets while managing a large operational team.

Reporting to the plant leadership, you will develop frontline leaders, coordinate with maintenance, QA and planning, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time leadership role with relocation support and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in meat processing or high-volume production.
• Strong knowledge of Harvest/Kill Floor operations.
• Experience leading large teams in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of production KPIs, labour utilisation and yields.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
• Commitment to safety, quality and animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily Harvest operations to ensure safe, efficient and compliant production.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance.
• Deliver production plans while achieving throughput, yield and quality targets.
• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and staff.
• Monitor and improve performance through KPIs and CI initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare, food safety, export and regulatory standards.
• Manage labour utilisation, workforce planning and costs.
• Collaborate with Livestock, Maintenance, QA, HR and Planning teams.
• Identify and resolve operational, quality and people-related issues promptly.
• Foster accountability, engagement, teamwork and continuous improvement.
