Job summary

JBS Australia Pty Limited seeks a hands-on Harvest Supervisor (Kill Floor) to lead daily slaughter floor operations at the Riverina Plant. You will drive safety, quality and regulatory compliance while guiding a team to meet production and FSQA objectives.

Reporting to the Harvest Manager, you will foster a culture of food safety, animal welfare and continuous improvement, manage workforce needs and participate in training and development within a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in the meat industry is essential.
• Experience in a similar leadership role is highly regarded.
• Strong communication, delegation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety, and quality assurance.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations with a strong customer service focus.
• Excellent prioritisation and multi-tasking.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of autonomous work and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kill floor operations to ensure production meets customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to the team to achieve production and quality objectives.
• Maintain the integrity of the FSQA system and support employee training and development.
• Ensure safe work practices are embedded across all activities.
• Lead with a culture of food safety, animal welfare and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory personnel as needed.
• Manage workforce requirements and lead in accordance with company values.
