Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking an experienced Livestock Supervisor for the Dinmore operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this hands-on leadership role oversees daily livestock yard operations and leads a dedicated team of stockpersons to ensure safe, compliant handling.

You will coordinate cattle receivals, yard movements, drafting and dispatch, while maintaining animal welfare, workplace safety and traceability across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock handling and stockyard operations.
• Leadership, supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Commitment to animal welfare and low-stress handling practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Experience with livestock traceability and record management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of livestock yards and lead stockpersons.
• Coordinate cattle receivals, yard movements, drafting, penning and dispatch.
• Coach and guide the on-site team to safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate livestock records to support traceability obligations.
