Job summary

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Area Coordinator for the Support Services Department to oversee environmental cleaning and patient support services across Townsville campuses. The role requires coordinating a 24/7 roster and driving service delivery with a focus on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have leadership and management skills, a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (or be enrolled) and a valid Class C driving licence, with awareness of VPD risks

Qualifications

Role requires coordination and supervision of the Support Services Department workforce in daily operations.
Not mandatory but Certificate IV in Leadership and Management preferred.
A class C vehicle licence is required.
Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role with Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis considerations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise Support Services Department workforce for daily operations (environmental cleaning and patient support services).
Manage rosters and ensure 24/7 service coverage.
Contribute to safe, compliant and efficient facility operations.
