Job summary

ACFS Port Logistics in Melbourne is seeking a night shift teammate to help keep our rail operations safe and efficient. You’ll coordinate inbound and outbound containers, manage bookings and liaise with customers and rail operators while working on a busy roster.

This role offers hands-on experience across rail and container logistics, career progression opportunities, and a supportive team in Australia’s largest privately owned container logistics operator.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or rail operations preferred.
• Strong computer skills and confidence using operational systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-focused, proactive and customer service oriented.
• Ability to meet ABF compliance requirements, including a clear criminal history.
• Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound containers and rail movements
• Manage container locations, bookings and export lists
• Liaise with customers, transport providers and rail operators
• Monitor refrigerated containers and maintain accurate records
• Use systems including Maximus, 1-Stop and TMS
• Support daily rail operations, train schedules and operational planning
• Maintain compliance with rail safety requirements and site procedures
