Job summary

SCT Logistics in Adelaide, SA, is seeking a hands-on Rail Operations support person to forklift load/unload, store, and transport containers within our Intermodal park. You will ensure safe, timely handling and accurate labeling, contributing to our end-to-end logistics network.

The role requires LF forklift license, CN, DG/RB qualifications, First Aid, and a Cert III in Supply Chain or equivalent. You will uphold rail protocols and collaborate with the Rail Operations team in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Hold a current High Risk work license LF (Forklift).
• Hold a current High Risk work license CN.
• Hold a current High Risk Work license DG (Dogging) and/or RB Basic Rigging (includes dogging).
• First Aid Qualification.
• Cert III in Supply Chain or similar.
• Working knowledge of Rail industry including rail protocols.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Store the products in proper places in the intermodal park.
• Transport containers around Intermodal park.
• Load containers in a safe and timely manner.
• Sort and label containers as per company procedures.
• Weigh products and record weight and other data in product labels.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Track the movements of Containers within the yard.
• Perform minor maintenance / service tasks on yard equipment.
• Use the man cage to disengage/engage twist locks on containers arriving on train units.
