Macquarie Alarms & Security is seeking a Night Patrol Officer for our Dubbo, NSW team. This is a part-time permanent role with flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.

The Night Patrol Officer will patrol client properties at night, monitor for security threats, respond to alarms, and maintain detailed incident logs to ensure client peace of mind. Ideal candidates will have a current Class 1A Security License, strong observation skills, good fitness for night work, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Current Class 1A Security License is required.
• Experience in security services or patrol operations is desirable.
• Able to work night shifts with good physical fitness.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular night patrols of assigned client properties to deter crime and ensure security.
• Monitor for unauthorised entry, vandalism or suspicious activity.
• Respond to alarm activations and security incidents per protocol.
• Maintain detailed patrol logs and incident reports.
• Communicate with control centre staff about security concerns.
• Perform security checks on doors, windows and access points.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter crime.
• Respond professionally to client inquiries during patrols.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Macquarie Alarms & Security is seeking a Night Patrol Officer to join our security team in Dubbo, NSW. The position is a part-time permanent position offering some flexibility to suit your lifestyle. As a Night Patrol Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' properties during night-time hours. Your dedication to vigilance and professionalism will help protect valuable assets and provide our clients with peace of mind knowing their premises are secure.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned client properties during night-time hours to deter criminal activity and ensure security
• Monitor for signs of unauthorised entry, vandalism, or suspicious activity
• Respond promptly to alarm activations and security incidents following established protocols
• Maintain detailed patrol logs and incident reports documenting all observations and actions taken
• Communicate effectively with control centre staff and relay information regarding any security concerns
• Perform security checks on doors, windows, and access points to verify they are secure
• Provide a visible security presence to deter potential criminal activity
• Respond professionally to client enquiries and concerns during patrols
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance requirements
• Comply with all security protocols, company policies, and relevant legislation

What we're looking for

• Current Class 1A Security License
• Experience in security services, patrol operations, or a related field is desireable
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work during night-time hours
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanour
• Clear communication skills and ability to work independently
• Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Knowledge of security procedures and best practices is desirable
