Job summary

UniLodge Living Group is seeking a Night Manager to oversee operations at The University of Sydney on a casual basis. The role emphasizes resident wellbeing, safety, and building management during overnight hours.

You will respond to incidents, support residents, and maintain records, with a focus on efficient night-time operations. This position requires valid working rights in Australia and NZ, plus background checks including a National Police Check and NSW Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building security and safety; perform perimeter checks and resolve on-duty issues.
• Carry out administration tasks including maintaining records, processing payments, audit, reporting.
• Manage incidents during night shift, including grievances and conflict resolution.
• Support residents as a friendly, open point of contact for information and welfare.
• Respond to resident calls about noise or disturbances; handle lockouts.
• Attend mandatory training and staff meetings as required.

Job description

We are on the lookout for a Night Manager to join our team based at The University of Sydney on a casual basis.

In your new role as Night Manager, you will be adaptable in your approach and equipped to manage any situation that may arise during evening hours. You will have a natural ability to think on your feet, and to resolve problems as they arise. Resident safety is a top priority for our frontline operations teams. You will be responsible for supporting the wellbeing of residents and overall management and responsibility of the building during the overnight hours.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as Night Manager will include but not be limited to:

• Monitoring building security and safety; performing perimeter checks and resolving issues or emergencies that arise while on duty.
• Carrying out administration tasks including maintaining records, processing payments, audit, reporting, etc.
• Effective incident management during night shift, including grievances and conflict resolution.
• Act as a support to the residents to form a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information, and welfare.
• Respond to residents calls about noise or disturbances within the building, and lock outs.
• Attend appropriate training and mandatory staff meetings when required.
