Job summary

Hyde Melbourne Place in Melbourne’s CBD seeks a Night Auditor to welcome guests during the night, manage late check-ins, and ensure a warm, seamless experience after hours. You will perform end-of-day reconciliations, generate reports for the morning handover, and support early-morning event setups, balancing hospitality with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Warm, genuine host with professional service mindset.
• Previous front office/reception experience is highly regarded.
• Must be available for overnight shifts 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Familiarity with a Property Management System (PMS) or solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as after-hours guest contact, handle check-ins, inquiries, and room service.
• Perform nightly cash reconciliations and financial/occupancy reports.
• Manage emails and calls while supporting early-morning event setups.
• Monitor and restock minibars, breakfast service, and bar fridges.
• Log maintenance issues, stock levels, and provide clear handover notes.

Job Description

As our Night Auditor, you’ll be the point of contact for guests throughout the night, ensuring a warm and seamless experience after hours. Alongside delivering outstanding customer service, you’ll handle late check-ins and early departures and respond to guest requests. You’ll also complete end-of-day reconciliations and reporting to support the smooth handover to the morning team. This role blends hospitality with attention to detail to keep operations running smoothly overnight.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary after-hours contact for guests, handling check-ins, inquiries, and room service.
• Perform nightly cash reconciliations, financial reporting, and generate occupancy and revenue reports.
• Manage emails, phone calls, and urgent requests while supporting early-morning event setups.
• Monitor and restock supplies for minibars, breakfast service, and bar fridges as needed.
• Log and communicate maintenance issues, stock levels, and provide clear handover notes for day staff.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• You bring a warm, genuine approach and the professionalism of an exceptional host.
• Previous experience in front office or reception roles is highly regarded.
• Availability to work a rotating roster of overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM is essential.
• Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred, or strong general computer skills.
