Job summary

East Coast Resourcing Ltd (ECR) is seeking an experienced RHEL administrator to maintain a RHEL 7 environment spanning virtual datacenters, physical hosts, and OpenStack. The role includes Satellite-driven patching, IdM management, and health checks within a change-controlled, high-critical setting.

You will lead patch and release management for IdM, implement upgrades, and ensure currency and security of IdM.

Qualifications

• NV1 clearance is required for this 12-month contract.
• 5+ years of enterprise RHEL operations at scale.
• Satellite and Smart Management experience is mandatory.
• Comfort working in change-controlled, high-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a RHEL 7 environment across virtual datacenters, physical hosts, VMware and OpenStack.
• Perform patch and release management for Red Hat Identity Management (IdM).
• Support IdM upgrades and integration requirements.
• Carry out maintenance, system tuning and health checks.

Required Skills

• Create new RHEL standard operating environments and consolidate existing ones, integrating them with Satellite and Ansible.
• Recommend the schedule for RHEL z-releases and patches, then package and apply the agreed updates.
• Manage and upgrade the Satellite platform, including its Ansible integration.
• Migrate Linux hosts that are not yet on RHEL 8 or 9 to supported RHEL standard operating environments.
