With a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand, the business is recognised for its commitment to quality, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. It offers a professional, welcoming and collaborative working environment, with a strong emphasis on its people, company values and long-standing reputation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging HR professional to gain broader generalist exposure working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting a range of people initiatives across the business.

The Team

Joining a small, close-knit People & Culture function, you will work closely with the Head of HR. The team operates in a friendly and collaborative environment, offering a high level of support whilst encouraging individuals to take ownership of their responsibilities and contribute ideas.

You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to a broad range of HR activities within a supportive and professional setting.

The Opportunity

This is a broad, hands-on position offering the opportunity to take ownership of recruitment processes, contribute to employee engagement initiatives and support generalist HR activities. It is particularly well suited to an HR Coordinator or emerging HR Advisor looking to build on their existing experience and develop greater responsibility.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating recruitment processes including candidate assessment, interviews, reference checks and employment offers
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements and deliver a positive candidate experience
  • Managing employee onboarding, induction coordination and associated HR documentation
  • Facilitating new starter inductions and communicating company policies, values and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate employee records
  • Preparing HR reports, analysing employee data and supporting broader reporting requirements
  • Coordinating probationary reviews, performance reviews
  • Responding to employee and manager HR enquiries, escalating matters where appropriate
  • Supporting the review and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and internal communications
  • Assisting with WHS coordination
  • Contributing to employee engagement activities, internal events and company values initiatives
  • Supporting general HR administration and broader People & Culture projects as required
About You

You may currently be working as an HR Administrator or HR Coordinator and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your generalist experience within a supportive and established business.

Experience within retail would be highly regarded, although candidates from other customer-focused or professional environments are equally encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with employees, hiring managers and senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable balancing competing priorities, maintaining confidentiality and taking initiative whilst working collaboratively within a small team.

Above all, you will bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and an interest in building your career in HR.

The Process

This is a 10-month fixed-term contract offering hybrid flexibility. The interview process will include an initial meeting with a Levyl team member, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring team.

We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes and motivators.
