Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a New Graduate Engineer, Mechanical (Starlink) to tackle complex structural, thermal, and electromechanical challenges for satellite hardware. You will own the full design lifecycle from ideation to production and orbit, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable systems.

You’ll contribute to multiple sub‑teams, apply CAD/FEA methods, and support rapid iteration, testing, and qualification to ensure mission success for the Starlink constellation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related STEM.
• Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
• 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing experience.
• Graduating in the winter of 2026 or spring/summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on‑orbit operation.
• Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system‑level optimization.
• Rapidly iterate on designs and analyses to inform system trades and product direction.
• Drive DFM to reduce parts, ensure manufacturability, and maintain performance.
