Job summary

FinXL Professional Services is seeking a Network Security Engineer (Cross-Domain / XMPP) to join our Defence practice. You will be deployed with a national security sector organisation on a high-profile transformation project, implementing secure network boundaries and cross-domain messaging.

The role requires hands-on XMPP and XML guard experience, traffic filtering knowledge, Australian citizenship, and ideally an NV1 or NV2 clearance; sponsorship considered for highly skilled uncitizens.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with secure network boundaries and cross-domain messaging.
• Experience with Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP).
• Familiarity with XML cross-domain guards (Isode M-Guard or similar).
• Understanding of traffic filtering mechanisms.
• Australian Citizenship is required for this engagement; NV1/NV2 clearance preferred; sponsorship considered for highly skilled uncitizens.

FinXL is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer (Cross-Domain /XMPP) to join our Defence consulting practice. In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with a national security sector organisation on a high-profile transformation project.

An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is highly preferred.

This position can be based from either of the following cities: Canberra ideally - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane also considered (Hybrid).

Responsibility

• Implement secure network boundaries and cross-domain messaging solutions.
• Support a major secure cloud capability rollout within the National Security Sector.
• Manage and configure XML cross-domain guards for controlling and filtering traffic.
• Travel to specific base or city locations for a few weeks during project initiation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure stringent security compliance across the programme.

• Familiarity with XML cross-domain guards, such as Isode M-Guard or similar technologies.

• An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is highly preferred, though highly skilled uncleared citizens willing to undergo sponsorship will be considered.
