Job summary

FinXL is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design and implement secure network boundaries and cross-domain messaging solutions for a major national security cloud rollout. The role demands hands-on XMPP experience, XML guard configurations, and robust traffic filtering knowledge in a Defence context.

The position may require travel to bases or city locations during project initiation, with hybrid work options. Australian citizenship and active NV1/NV2 clearance are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience with secure network boundaries.
• Proven expertise with Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP).
• Familiarity with XML cross-domain guards (Isode M-Guard or similar).
• Solid understanding of traffic filtering mechanisms.
• Australian citizenship is a strict requirement; NV1/NV2 clearance preferred.

FinXL is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer (Cross-Domain / XMPP) to join our Defence consulting practice. In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with a national security sector organisation on a high-profile transformation project.

An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is highly preferred.

This position can be based from either of the following cities: Canberra ideally - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane also considered (Hybrid).
