Balance Recruitment and Balance Consulting seeks a Mid-Level Network Security Engineer to join its NOC/Managed Services team in Sydney. You will monitor, support and maintain customer network and security infra, resolve incidents, and drive service quality during standard hours with one on-call week every 5–6 weeks.

We are partnering with a well-established and growing network security consultancy seeking a Mid-Level Network Security Engineer to join its Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Managed Services division.
You'll join a highly skilled engineering team supporting critical customer infrastructure and gain exposure to industry-leading technologies including Cisco, Fortinet, SolarWinds, PRTG and F5.
Working within a 9-5 NOC style environment (on call one week once every 5 - 6 weeks), you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting and maintaining customer network and security infrastructure while ensuring incidents, requests and changes are delivered within agreed service levels during standard working hours.
You are a motivated engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. Eventually, you will have an opportunity to transition to projects.
3-5 years' experience supporting network and security infrastructure
Experience gained within a NOC, managed services, or technical support environment
Hands-on experience to firewall technologies, ideally Fortinet FortiGate. Zscaler would be great
Experience supporting routing and switching environments (Cisco)
Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Change and Problem Management processes
Experience using monitoring and ticketing platforms
Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent practical networking experience
