Job summary

Better Staff is seeking two Network Security Engineers to design, build, and support secure network solutions for enterprise clients. You’ll configure firewalls, VPNs, cloud networking, and core infrastructure, and troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.

Bring 5+ years in network/security engineering, experience with Cisco/Juniper/Check Point/Palo Alto, and a solid grasp of routing, switching, VPNs, and cloud networking. ITIL exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Network and Security Engineering.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and cloud networking.
• ITIL or change management exposure is advantageous.

We’re partnering with an established MSP that’s expanding its enterprise capability and is looking for two experienced Network Security Engineers to join the team. These are hands-on roles where your work is visible, your input shapes how the team operates, and progression comes quickly for those who deliver.

About the roles

You’ll design, build, and support secure network solutions across a range of customer environments. You’ll solve complex problems, hold the team to high technical standards, and help the engineers around you grow through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and deploy secure network solutions
• Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, cloud networking, and core infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues in production environments
• Produce clear documentation and contribute to engineering standards

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years’ experience in Network and Security Engineering (consulting or MSP background preferred)
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking
• Exposure to enterprise or data centre networking
• Confidence managing incidents, changes, and continuous improvement
• ITIL or change management exposure (advantageous)
