Job summary

Vault Cloud, an Australian sovereign cloud provider, seeks a sharp L2 Operations Engineer (Network) to guarantee resilience and security of our critical network environments. Based in Canberra or Sydney, you will own second-line incident triage, perform live changes under change controls, and drive automation to reduce manual work.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, write SOPs and runbooks, and pursue continuous reliability through proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in network administration or operations within complex IT/cloud environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Strong incident triage, root-cause analysis and cross-team communication.
• Familiarity with ITIL or Agile with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or CompTIA certificates.

Responsibilities

• Own L2 incident response and triage, routing unresolved issues to engineering.
• Perform system configuration changes and validate environment health under change control.
• Lead major incident triage with deep-dive investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Drive reliability by identifying bottlenecks and contributing to infrastructure automation.
• Write SOPs and runbooks to raise team capability.
