Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking a Network Portfolio Director to lead a high‑impact portfolio, ensuring a disciplined pipeline of work aligned with priorities and investment objectives. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio & Performance, you will shape delivery strategies across planning, budgeting, risk oversight and stakeholder alignment to secure reliable network outcomes.

You will guide Program and Project Directors, collaborate with Asset Management, Design and Finance, and drive governance, forecasting

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing large, complex portfolios of programs and projects.
• Demonstrated success delivering major asset, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or capital works programs.
• Deep understanding of portfolio management, project delivery fundamentals and governance disciplines.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex and often competing priorities.
• Strong commercial, financial and risk management capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• The confidence to challenge, improve and implement new ways of working.
• A passion for building high-performing teams and creating a strong delivery culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Ausgrid's Network Portfolio, ensuring programs and projects align with organisational priorities and investment objectives.
• Maintain a disciplined, construction-ready pipeline of work across a broad and complex portfolio.
• Drive portfolio performance across scope, budget, schedule, safety and quality outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to Program Directors, Project Directors and delivery teams.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Asset Management, Network Planning, Design, Field Delivery and Finance.
• Drive effective governance, risk management and decision-making across the portfolio.
• Lead portfolio forecasting, commercial management and investment performance.
• Oversee portfolio reporting, estimating capability, cost assurance and provide insights that support upstream decision making.
