Ausgrid is seeking a highly accomplished Network Portfolio Director to lead our Portfolio & Performance leadership team. The role focuses on delivering a disciplined, construction-ready pipeline of network programs and projects aligned to approved plans, budget, and governance standards.

You will influence how Ausgrid plans, optimises and delivers its network portfolio to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time, supporting our strategic objectives and keeping communities connected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large-scale, asset-intensive portfolios.
• Delivery of infrastructure, capital works or asset-based programs.
• Strong understanding of portfolio management and governance disciplines.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly accomplished Network Portfolio Director to join our Portfolio & Performance leadership team to lead our Network Portfolio ensuring a disciplined, prioritised and construction-ready pipeline of work is maintained and delivered in accordance with approved plans, scope, budget, governance requirements and business objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio & Performance, you'll provide strategic leadership across portfolio planning, delivery performance, stakeholder alignment and risk management to enable the safe, efficient and reliable delivery of network outcomes. As a key member of the leadership team, you'll influence how Ausgrid plans, optimises and delivers its network portfolio, ensuring the right work is delivered at the right time to support Ausgrid's strategic objectives and keep our communities connected.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee Ausgrid's Network Portfolio, ensuring programs and projects align with organisational priorities and investment objectives.
• Maintain a disciplined, construction-ready pipeline of work across a broad and complex portfolio.
• Drive portfolio performance across scope, budget, schedule, safety and quality outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to Program Directors, Project Directors and delivery teams.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Asset Management, Network Planning, Design, Field Delivery and Finance.
• Drive effective governance, risk management and decision-making across the portfolio.
• Lead portfolio forecasting, commercial management and investment performance.
• Oversee portfolio reporting, estimating capability, cost assurance and provide insights that support upstream decision making.

You'll Bring

You are a proven portfolio Director with deep experience managing large-scale, asset-intensive portfolio's programs and projects. We're looking for a leader who has delivered infrastructure, capital works or asset-based programs throughout their career and understands what great project delivery looks like across the project lifecycle. You'll thrive in complexity, think strategically and can turn plans into successful delivery outcomes.

• Significant experience managing large, complex portfolios of programs and projects.
• Demonstrated success delivering major asset, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or capital works programs.
• Deep understanding of portfolio management, project delivery fundamentals and governance disciplines.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex and often competing priorities.
• Strong commercial, financial and risk management capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• The confidence to challenge, improve and implement new ways of working.
• A passion for building high-performing teams and creating a strong delivery culture.
