Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Network Engineer - Exchange Site Transformation to support enterprise messaging transformation initiatives in Sydney. You will plan, design, implement, and support Exchange infrastructure transformation projects, including data center migrations, site consolidations, Exchange upgrades, hybrid deployments, and cloud migration programs.

• Strong experience in Exchange Server administration, Exchange Site Transformation, and messaging infrastructure migration projects.
• Hands-on with Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange Online, Office 365, and hybrid environments.
• Mailbox migrations, site consolidations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, coexistence management, and Exchange infrastructure modernization.
• Proficient in mail flow, DNS, Active Directory integration, DAGs, load balancing, and high-availability configurations.
• PowerShell scripting for Exchange administration, automation, and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and project execution.

Responsibilities

Must Have Skills:

• Strong experience in Microsoft Exchange Server administration,Exchange Site Transformation, and messaging infrastructure migrationprojects.
• Hands-on expertise with Exchange Server 2016/2019, ExchangeOnline, Office 365, and hybrid environments. Proven experience in mailboxmigrations, site consolidations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, coexistencemanagement, and Exchange infrastructure modernization.
• Deep understanding of mailflow, SMTP, DNS, Active Directory integration, DAG (Database AvailabilityGroup), load balancing, and high-availability configurations.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex mail delivery, performance,and connectivity issues.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Exchangeadministration, automation, and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and projectexecution skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration,Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure services, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Knowledge of Exchange security technologiesincluding Microsoft Defender for Office 365, email security gateways,anti-spam, anti-malware, and compliance solutions.
• Experience with migration tools such as Quest,Binary Tree, or Microsoft migration tools. Exposure to Teams, SharePoint,OneDrive, and broader Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
