Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled network and security engineer to join our contract-based team. You will manage core infrastructure, patching, upgrades, and monitoring across on-premises and client environments.

Responsibilities include configuring Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and F5 load balancers, ensuring email security standards are enforced, and collaborating with vendors to assess protection services.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in operation, patching and upgrade aspects of the network infrastructure.
• Experience with Cisco firewalling, routing, switching and wireless monitoring.
• Knowledge of email flow domains and standards such as DMARC, DKIM and SPF.
• F5 load balancers experience for traffic management and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2-3 technical network and security support to internal and external customers.
• Interact with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to assess protection services and products.
• Interpret logs and mitigate identified issues to maintain 24/7 operational reliability.
• Deploy, manage and maintain internal and external facing network, security and monitoring systems.
• Utilize Change Control processes to plan and implement required changes to security-related systems.
